Cadillac Eldorado
The Cadillac Eldorado was first introduced to the US in 1953. Originally, it was a limited production convertible. By the late 1950s, it was being sold as a hand-built Eldorado Brougham. By 1967 the Eldorado was a front-wheel drive coupe and in 1970 it had grown into an immense automobile with a 500 cubic inch engine. This automobile was so successful that limited edition versions were being sold with unique paint jobs to the elite crowd.
When the energy crisis arrived, the Eldorado was down-sized to a much smaller version. The current model was introduced in 1992 with the “Northstar System” consisting of a dual overhead cam V8 engine and electronic control of engine, transmission and the suspension systems in 1993. Since then, the Cadillac Eldorado continue to be built with streamlined conveniences with excellent results.
Purchasing a vintage Cadillac Eldorado makes financial sense. You avoid the depreciation rates that come with the purchase of a new automobile.
